It was so exciting to see Jane again! She has been missed during the lockdown and she came to see Lynn and I yesterday to familiarise herself with all the lovely clothing and the new procedures to make sure the shop safe and welcoming. Jane starts back on Monday, and will be working Mondays and Tuesdays. Lynn needs to have a few days out the shop to do some walking and to do something she calls Yoga. đ§ââď¸đśââď¸ She says it helps her joints after standing in the shop for hours (not to mention keeping her calm which after a busy day in the shop which even I can't help with). I hope everyone is kind and patient with Jane as she remembers how it all works. Although Jane has been enjoying her allotment over the past few months she told me yesterday that she will be pleased to get back to seeing the summer fashions and the new arrivals. There is so much to learn and I am just about getting to grips with things myself. I have taken up a new position on the mantlepiece (next to the Sloggi underwear) in the front of the shop away from the door. I have a great view of the shop and the customers as they come in. I have also had to wear a face mask as it would seem that I could be asymptomatic so best to be safe rather than sorry. Mine is made from a cotton fabric and isn't too uncomfortable except it's very hot today. I would really like some more interesting coloured ones but this will have to do for now.
I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine but being Arran rain is on the way this evening which I am not looking forward too as there may also be some thunder. âď¸đ§đ§
